About the Role
As an Analyst Control Testing, you will be responsible for supporting the Manager Controls Testing Pacific in working with Pacific countries to maintain a strong understanding of control best practices, including relevant regulatory and policy requirements. The role involves assisting in the development and uplift of control test scripts in alignment with IAM and NFR standards, conducting control testing, reporting findings, and agreeing on control effectiveness with Control Owners and Risk Owners before finalising test results. You will also ensure NFR records are accurately updated in SNOW in accordance with IAM Framework requirements. Additionally, the role requires close collaboration with 2nd Line Risk and Compliance teams, the BG&C team, and Control Owners and Operators across the Pacific to provide a comprehensive, end‑to‑end view of the risk and control environment.

What will your day look like?
As a Analyst Control Testing, you will:
- Execute control testing activities in accordance with the IAM Framework and Control Monitoring Procedure requirements.
- Deliver high‑quality control testing outputs that provide assurance to the business on the effectiveness of controls tested.
- Ensure SNOW is updated in a timely manner with accurate and complete data upon completion of control testing and finalisation of results with Control Owners and Risk Owners.
- Collaborate closely with the Regional Team to support the development of the Centralised Controls Testing function.
- Maintain strong governance across all testing activities and ensure compliance with governance requirements set by Divisions and Group functions.
- Evaluate and manage the impact of control testing initiatives, ensuring requirements are embedded and communicated effectively across the business.
- Contribute to process and control improvements by balancing risk and reward when recommending remediation for controls assessed as Not Effective, and re-test remediated controls in a timely manner.
- Drive awareness and understanding of Control Testing and contribute to the Non‑Financial Risk program in line with IAM Framework requirements and stakeholder needs.
- Establish and foster strong relationships with key Business Units, Divisions, Group representatives, and other ANZ Service Centres.
- Assist countries in reporting control test results to Risk Forums and provide reports to Country BG&C Leads as required.
- Support the development and promotion of the “brand” of the Control Testing and Governance function.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Tertiary qualifications and experience in Audit, Risk Management, Compliance, or other review‑based roles.
- Demonstrated experience in control testing, with sound knowledge of control testing methodologies, systems, the IAM Framework and Non-Financial Risk (NFR) requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated stakeholder and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate outcomes within a large financial institution.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong collaborative and open working relationships across diverse teams
