About the Role
As an Associate Director, Rates Investor Sales, Asia, you will play a key client-facing role within the Markets business, driving the growth and performance of ANZ's Fixed Income franchise across Asia. You will be actively involved in the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation and relationship development through to pipeline management and deal execution.
The role requires a highly motivated sales professional who can deepen and monetize existing client relationships while identifying and developing new business opportunities. Working closely with Trading, Capital Markets and Research teams, you will contribute to the achievement of Markets business objectives by delivering revenue growth, supporting strategic initiatives and helping meet current and future business targets.
You will also play an important role in maintaining strong governance and adherence to regulatory obligations, ensuring sales activities are conducted in accordance with applicable policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

What will your day look like?
As an Associate Director, Rates Investor Sales, Asia, you will:
- Drive rates sales revenue growth by delivering fixed income and derivatives solutions to a targeted institutional investor client base.
- Identify and execute new business opportunities while deepening existing client relationships to grow franchise revenue and wallet share.
- Partner with Trading, Capital Markets and Research teams to deliver client solutions and effectively cross-sell ANZ's Markets product suite.
- Work closely with Relationship Managers and Trading teams to understand client needs, support onboarding activities and identify opportunities within existing portfolios.
- Respond to client enquiries, provide market insights, communicate pricing and support timely deal execution.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular engagement, meetings and industry events.
- Collaborate with country sales teams and key stakeholders to drive strategic sales initiatives, improve efficiency and support business growth objectives.
- Maintain a strong risk and compliance culture, ensuring adherence to internal policies, governance frameworks, dealing mandates and regulatory requirements.
- Comply with front-office controls, deal management processes and operational procedures to minimise transactional and operational risks.
- Build collaborative relationships across Trading, Relationship Management, Research, Credit, Operations and other enablement teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
- Share best practices and contribute to a high-performing and collaborative Markets team.
- Role model ANZ values and behaviours while supporting a culture of integrity, accountability and fair client outcomes.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- A strong client focus, with a proven ability to develop new relationships and deepen existing client partnerships.
- Experience in Financial Markets, Institutional Sales, Fixed Income Sales or a related client-facing Markets role.
- Knowledge of fixed income products, derivatives and institutional investor client segments.
- Experience engaging and influencing internal and external stakeholders, including the ability to negotiate effectively with clients and stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and deliver client-focused outcomes.
- The ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment across multiple geographies and time zones.
- Sound knowledge of Financial Markets products, sales processes and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- A commercial mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and contribute to revenue growth objectives.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of execution.
- Effective problem-solving, analytical and decision-making capabilities in a dynamic market environment.
- A strong commitment to risk management, conduct and compliance, with the ability to operate within regulatory and governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with market platforms and tools such as Bloomberg, MarkitWire and Tradeweb would be advantageous.
- A track record of demonstrating ANZ Values and Behaviours, including Put customers first, Deliver with excellence, Own the outcome, Work as one.
- Relevant financial markets, treasury, capital markets or regulatory qualifications would be advantageous.
