The Central Compliance team plays a critical role in supporting ANZ's compliance framework and regulatory obligations. The team ensures regulatory requirements are effectively identified, understood, embedded and monitored across the organisation, helping ANZ maintain strong compliance outcomes and meet evolving regulatory expectations.
About the Role
As the Senior Manager, Obligations Management, you will lead the implementation and ongoing enhancement of ANZ's Obligations Management Framework, ensuring regulatory obligations are effectively identified, assigned, monitored and embedded across the enterprise.
You will provide enterprise oversight of ANZ's obligations management practices, maintain the integrity of the Obligations Library and support business leaders in meeting their compliance accountabilities. You will work closely with business, risk and compliance stakeholders to strengthen compliance governance, improve regulatory change management and ensure high-quality reporting to senior management and the Board.
This is a highly visible role that combines strategic oversight, governance, stakeholder engagement and people leadership, with responsibility for driving strong compliance outcomes and fostering an enhanced risk culture across ANZ.

What will your day look like?
As the Senior Manager, Obligations Management, you will be accountable for:
- Leading the implementation and ongoing enhancement of ANZ's Obligations Management Framework, Policy and Standards.
- Providing guidance, oversight and constructive challenges to Obligation Owners to ensure obligations are effectively understood and managed.
- Maintaining the accuracy and completeness of ANZ's Obligations Library and associated governance processes.
- Overseeing robust processes for identifying, assessing and implementing regulatory change across the organisation.
- Partnering with business, Risk and Compliance stakeholders to ensure evidence of compliance is maintained and compliance outcomes are actively monitored.
- Delivering meaningful executive and Board reporting on obligations management, compliance risks and emerging themes.
- Driving continuous improvement in compliance risk management practices, governance and controls.
- Leading and developing a high-performing team responsible for obligations management oversight.
- Contributing to an enhanced risk culture and supporting effective risk-based decision making across the organisation.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the bank and representing Compliance as a trusted adviser on obligations management.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and significant financial services, Compliance or Risk Management experience.
- Significant experience designing, implementing or overseeing compliance and regulatory frameworks within a large financial services organisation.
- Deep understanding of regulatory obligations management and regulatory expectations within banking and financial services.
- Strong governance, risk and control expertise, with the ability to apply practical solutions to complex compliance challenges.
- Experience managing large-scale enterprise processes, systems and regulatory change initiatives.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills, including the ability to challenge senior leaders constructively.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience and a passion for building high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering outcomes.
- Knowledge of international regulatory obligations frameworks would be advantageous.
