About the Role

This role supports the delivery of strong non-financial risk governance and reporting outcomes across ANZ's Corporate Enablement functions.
As a Senior Lead, Governance & Reporting, you'll help bring together risk, control and assurance perspectives from across the business to support effective risk assessment, reporting and decision making. Working closely with the Governance & Reporting leadership team, you'll coordinate key risk processes, develop meaningful insights and help maintain a clear view of divisional risk appetite and emerging risk themes.

You'll also support regulatory change initiatives, event and issue management activities, and the ongoing development of risk profiles across multiple business areas. The role provides an excellent opportunity to work across a broad range of risk disciplines while building deep expertise in governance, reporting and enterprise risk management

What will your day look like?

What you'll be doing:

•    Aggregating and synthesising risk and control information from multiple teams to provide clear and actionable reporting.
•    Supporting the development of risk profiles and assessments across business units and value chains.
•    Coordinating risk inputs from Centres of Excellence and Controls Testing teams to support high-quality governance outcomes.
•    Monitoring risks against appetite and supporting escalation, tracking and reporting activities.
•    Supporting regulatory change initiatives through assessment coordination, action planning and delivery tracking.
•    Contributing to the development of risk insights, deep dives and thematic reviews that help improve business understanding.
•    Assisting with root cause analysis, lessons learned activities and issue management processes.
•    Preparing governance reporting, presentations and briefing materials for management and governance forums.
•    Building effective relationships with business stakeholders and risk partners across the organisation.
•    Providing guidance and quality review support to team members where required.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

•    Experience in risk, governance, controls, audit or assurance within a complex organisation.
•    Strong understanding of non-financial risk frameworks, risk assessments, controls and assurance concepts.
•    Experience analysing and synthesising risk and control information into concise, decision-ready insights.
•    Understanding of risk reporting, governance processes and risk appetite monitoring.
•    Strong analytical capability and sound judgement when identifying emerging risks and escalation matters.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of governance and reporting materials.
•    Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and coordinate competing priorities.
•    Experience supporting event and issue management activities, including analysis and documentation.
•    Exposure to regulatory change, commitment tracking or related risk management activities.
•    Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
•    Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, finance, risk or a related discipline are highly regarded
