About the Role

We're looking for a commercially minded and customer-focused Portfolio Manager to join our Credit Cards & Personal Loans team on a 15-month parental leave cover contract.

Sitting within the Acquisition, Activation & Retention team, you will partner with the Senior Portfolio Manager to execute lifecycle strategies across the EMOB and Retention portfolios. You will lead the delivery and optimisation of initiatives that improve activation, engagement and retention, using data and insights to drive measurable customer and commercial outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning insights into action, solving complex problems and driving outcomes in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

What will your day look like?

 

  • Deliver initiatives that improve customer activation, engagement and retention across Credit Cards and Personal Loans.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and identify opportunities to improve customer and business outcomes.
  • Use customer insights and data to develop recommendations and prioritise opportunities.
  • Manage and execute customer journey enhancements across key lifecycle touchpoints.
  • Support campaign development, proposition improvements and customer communication initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships across Product, Digital, Marketing, Operations, Risk and Legal teams to land outcomes.
  • Develop business cases, implementation plans and performance reporting.
  • Ensure initiatives are delivered in line with governance, risk and compliance requirements.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • 7-10 yrs experience in portfolio management, product management, lifecycle marketing or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Proven ability to deliver initiatives in complex, matrixed organisations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve issues in complex campaign or customer journey builds.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • A customer-focused mindset combined with sound commercial judgement.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience within financial services, cards, lending or customer lifecycle management will be highly regarded.
