At ANZ Private, we help successful individuals, families, professionals, business owners and farmers achieve their financial goals through our comprehensive wealth management offering.
As a Private Banker, you will build trusted relationships with clients, gain a deep understanding of their financial goals and aspirations, and provide personalised financial advice and solutions that help them grow, manage and protect their wealth.
Our comprehensive wealth management offering combines investment expertise, access to lending solutions and day-to-day banking services to support clients through every stage of their financial journey. Through proactive advice and meaningful client relationships, you will help clients make informed decisions and achieve long-term financial confidence.
Success in this role comes from delivering exceptional client experiences, building enduring relationships and identifying opportunities to deepen client engagement, grow funds under management and support sustainable business growth. You will be proactive, growth-focused and externally connected, building strong referral networks and creating opportunities that benefit both your clients and ANZ.

As a Private Banker, you will:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of ANZ Private clients.
- Build trusted relationships and develop a deep understanding of clients' financial goals, needs and aspirations.
- Provide personalised financial advice and investment solutions that help clients grow, manage and protect their wealth.
- Develop and maintain client plans that support strong client outcomes, portfolio growth and retention.
- Deliver an exceptional and personalised client experience through proactive engagement and timely follow-through.
- Grow funds under management, deepen client relationships and generate new business opportunities through referrals, networking and business development activities.
- Maintain an active presence in the market, building relationships with professional partners and centres of influence.
- Stay informed on market, economic and industry developments to support meaningful client conversations.
- Deliver strong growth, client satisfaction, productivity and risk outcomes while maintaining a strong focus on conduct, compliance and customer interests.
Ōu Pūkenga? – What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) and Financial Adviser accreditation, or the ability to obtain and maintain accreditation within agreed timeframes.
- Experience providing financial advice, investment advice or wealth management solutions to clients.
- Strong understanding of investment markets, wealth creation strategies and portfolio construction.
- Sound knowledge of the regulatory and compliance obligations associated with providing financial advice.
- Proven success building trusted client relationships and delivering exceptional client outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to grow and retain client portfolios, including growing funds under management and identifying new business opportunities.
- Strong networking and business development capability, with a focus on building long-term referral relationships.
- A passion for helping clients grow, manage and protect their wealth through a comprehensive wealth management approach.
- Commercial acumen balanced with a strong customer and risk focus.
