About the Role

 

As a Financial Crime Performance Lead in our Business & Private Bank division, you are accountable to lead the Financial Crime Performance team by supporting the day-to-day financial crime performance along with uplifting financial crime management and capabilities for the Division.

 

Your role and team will execute on the governance, reporting, performance management and support for the first line Financial Crime team by developing and implementing governance and reporting frameworks, partnering with other Divisions to manage the end-to-end view (e.g. Retail and Institutional product, technology, etc) and lead/manage appropriate and timely responses to threat assessments, thematic reviews, regulatory responses etc.

 

In the evolving Financial Crime and KYC landscape, your role will play a key part in defining the future state financial crime approach and ongoing management across the Division.

Work Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week

What will your day look like?

 

As a Financial Crime Performance Lead, you will:

  • Develop and implement governance frameworks (including rules, relationships, systems and processes) to manage the financial crime risks within Business & Private Bank
  • Financial Crime Reporting: As needs of business change, working with stakeholders to develop relevant reporting metrics/dashboards and collaborate with GMs to understand pain points and develop plans to mitigate
  • Overall management of Committee/Governance/Forum reporting including but not limited to Risk Management Committees, Project/Program forums, Financial Crime Risk/Advisory, and partnering with other Divisions to manage the end-to-end view (e.g. Retail and Institutional product, technology, etc.)
  • Own and manage appropriate and timely responses to threat assessments, thematic reviews, regulatory responses, etc.
  • Proactively engage stakeholders, to consult, develop and align the optimal Line 1 approach to deliver fair outcomes for customers and community

  • Ability to set up and administer business practices that creates a high level of efficiency in managing the financial crime risk within the Division
  • Strong ability to drive practical application in defining the governance frameworks
  • Brings problem-solving capabilities with a proven track record of navigating complex challenges to deliver sustainable and compliant solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and influence stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to prepare, engage and support people to successfully deliver, embed and adapt to change which safely drives desired outcomes
