About the Role
This role is a specialized Non-Financial Risk position focused on the Rates & Credit business, providing deep subject matter expertise across products, business activities, risk themes and control environments. The role supports the effective management of non-financial risk in alignment with enterprise risk management standards and regulatory expectations, while helping strengthen governance, reporting and risk structures across the business.
Working closely with the broader Markets NFR team and business stakeholders, the role is expected to support the global Rates & Credit business by providing expert advice, credible challenge and specialist input on risk matters, governance outcomes and control uplift initiatives. It acts as a trusted SME for complex issues and emerging risks, bringing practical and data-driven insight to support informed decision-making and a strong risk culture.
The role is also expected to provide deep SME support, as required, for investigations, thematic reviews, assurance activities and risk events impacting the global Rates & Credit business, including support on root cause analysis, issue assessment and the development of sustainable remediation responses.

What will your day look like?
As a Senior Associate Markets NFR Asia Rates & Credit , you will:
- Act as the deep SME for non-financial risk matters impacting the Rates & Credit business, providing expert advice and challenge across products, activities, controls and governance outcomes
- Support the global Rates & Credit business on key risk matters, including risk identification, control uplift, governance enhancements and responses to emerging issues
- Provide specialist input into complex investigations, thematic reviews, assurance activities and risk events, including root cause analysis, issue assessment and remediation planning
- Drive the management of non-financial risk governance and oversight in line with enterprise risk management standards and regulatory obligations, in partnership with the wider Markets NFR team
- Design and implement governance and risk management activities relevant to Rates & Credit, including risk reviews, issues management, attestations and aggregated risk insights
- Prepare and review high-quality papers, reporting and insights for senior stakeholders, including clear articulation of key risks, themes, actions and decisions required
- Oversee escalations and support timely resolution of significant risk, control or governance issues, escalating to senior management where appropriate
- Coordinate effectively with business, risk and assurance stakeholders across regions to maintain alignment, consistency and clarity in risk and governance practices
- Identify opportunities to enhance risk frameworks, governance processes, reporting and control effectiveness across the global Rates & Credit business
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Experience in non-financial risk, governance frameworks and regulatory expectations within a Markets environment, with particular expertise in Rates & Credit business activities, products and control environments
- Demonstrated ability to act as a trusted SME on complex risk matters, providing credible challenge, practical advice and clear recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Strong experience supporting or leading investigations, thematic reviews, assurance activity or complex issue assessments, including root cause analysis and remediation development
- Strong planning and prioritization skills to manage multiple specialized risk activities, reviews, escalations and business demands simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex technical and risk issues into clear insights for decision-makers
‘Good to have’ knowledge, skills and experiences
- Experience supporting global Markets businesses and working across regional stakeholder groups in a complex institutional environment.
- Strong understanding of Rates & Credit product sets, trading activities and associated non-financial risk themes.
- Experience engaging with second- and third-line assurance teams, including internal audit, compliance reviews and thematic examinations.
- Exposure to data-driven analysis and reporting tools used to monitor risk, governance and control effectiveness across markets businesses.
