We’re excited by evidence-based design and are looking for an experienced Design Strategist to help us understand our customers’ behaviours, needs and motivations to help shape beautiful customer experiences.

In this role you will…

 

  • Report to the Strategic Design Lead
  • Work on projects across the bank developing data-driven insights to inform designs and decision-making that create better experiences for our customers – from creating experience strategies to researching a customer group to digging into a new trend
  • Run the end-to-end design process - guiding, planning and delivering evidence-based solutions that identifies the most important actions to deliver both customer and business value
  • Advocate and champion evidence-based design thinking by bringing data-driven customer insights to the decision table
  • Identify key themes, trends and best practice, and create design artefacts that tell these stories in an impactful way
  • Provide HCD advice, guidance and support to other designers and stakeholders to ensure best practice is applied
  • Advocate for design thinking by bringing customer insights and data to the decision table
  • Work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to bring them along on the discovery journey with you

Now what about you?

 

You are an experienced strategic designer, passionate about understanding customers’ needs and motivations, and creating human focused experiences. You value empathy in your interactions, and delight in sharing the actionable insights you have created from combining both qualitative and quantitative data.

 

Through your experience, you can demonstrate that you have:

 

  • A good understanding of the many facets of design and design thinking
  • 5-8 years’ experience undertaking user research, service design and / or behavioural design using analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data to evidence the impact
  • An aptitude for sharing valuable insights, including data visualisation, in a compelling way so they influence and improve customer experiences
  • A fascination with how customers experience products and services and have a hunger to improve those experiences
  • The ability to develop strong collaborative relationships - managing, influencing, and communicating effectively with partners at all levels
  • A strong focus on applying data to inform and guide design outcomes
