Mō te tūranga - About the role

 

ANZ is undergoing a significant technological transformation and is seeking a Solution Architect to guide the design and implementation of a new customer contact centre solution for ANZ New Zealand. This role involves integrating Amazon Connect with Salesforce and core banking platforms, implementing chat and agentic AI models to enhance customer interactions, and taking ownership of the NZ Contact Centre Architecture Roadmap.

 

Key responsibilities include providing architectural stewardship, collaborating with project teams and stakeholders, ensuring security and compliance, and engaging with vendors. The role also involves advising on strategic improvements and balancing immediate delivery needs with long-term strategy. This is a fantastic opportunity for a visionary architect to drive technological innovation and shape the future of customer interactions at ANZ.

 

 

Role Location: This role can be based in either Auckland or Wellington.  Let us know what works for you.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Standard)

As a Solution Architect at ANZ, you'll provide technical guidance, ensuring that architectures are realised and deliverable. Key activities will include:

 

  • Designing and implementing technology solutions to support business goals.
  • Developing architectural directions and guidance for clear delivery paths.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to ensure customer-focused solutions.
  • Leading the design and implementation of the customer contact centre solution.
  • Collaborating with project teams to provide architectural direction and guidance.
  • Working with key business stakeholders to translate problems into solutions.
  • Ensuring alignment with security, risk, and data perspectives in architecture design.

Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?

 

To thrive and excel in this role, you should ideally possess the following:

 

  • Experience as a Solutions Architect in medium to large enterprise. Banking environments would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills to understand and break down business stakeholders' needs, translating them into actionable solution options.
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders at multiple levels, demonstrating your ability to influence, collaborate, and negotiate effectively to inform decision-making.
  • The ability to fit comfortably within a team environment and provide strong technology leadership.
  • Understanding of integration, data and dealing with large complex technology environments.

 

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in customer contact centre solution implementations, and AWS technologies, with a strong preference for those skilled in Amazon Connect, Salesforce, and Agentic AI implementations.
