The Platform Owner is responsible for technical leadership and ownership of the core Data Delivery / Enterprise Business Intelligence platform roadmaps. This role partners with Architects, Product Owners, and multi-disciplinary squads to drive the implementation of data solutions for the business while ensuring platform reliability and continuous improvement.

As a Plaform Owner, you will:

 

  • Develop and maintain technology and platform roadmaps aligned to business requirements.
  • Partner with Product Owners, business stakeholders and data squads to identify unmet needs and define fit‑for‑purpose solutions.
  • Collaborate with Architecture and Technology teams to endorse solution options and designs.
  • Own the platform and asset roadmap, including ALM activities such as upgrades, decommissioning and replacements.
  • Ensure platforms and tooling align with broader enterprise architecture standards.
  • Manage risk and governance across technology assets, ensuring compliance with ANZ Group policies, standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee system maintenance and manage platform risks, including iTracts, ISENs and Audit Action Plans.
  • Lead audits and governance practices, including server content management and user access controls.
  • Manage vendor and implementation partner relationships, representing the Technology Business Owner in governance and review forums.
  • Identify, engage and manage support and implementation partners, including managed services and SOWs in collaboration with Procurement.
  • Collaborate with Data Practices, engineers and leaders to align technology capabilities with engineering standards and drive continuous improvement.
  • Drive efficient and effective use of technology platforms and support user adoption of new features through forums, training and optimisation initiatives.

Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • 8+ years working in Analytics, BI or Technology, with deep subject matter expertise in SAS
  • Exposure to other data wrangling and analytics tools such as Tableau, SAS, AWS Sagemaker, Ab-Initiio and Jupyter Notebook.
  • Experience developing and maintaining platform/asset roadmaps ensuring alignment to broader architecture landscape.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to consult and influence stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated collaborative leadership skills that encourage knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to set clear achievable goals, priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to constructively challenge existing processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of ETL, Analytics and Business Intelligence processes and architectures.
  • Knowledge of service, incident, and problem management processes e.g., ITIL, using tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow.
