Mō te tūranga - About the role

 

As a Salesforce Solution Designer at ANZ, you’ll design and deliver scalable, secure, and high‑quality Salesforce solutions that support customer and business outcomes.

 

You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the bank, facilitating workshops, shaping solution options, and influencing decision‑making, translating complex requirements into robust functional and technical designs. Leveraging deep expertise across Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow automation, Salesforce APIs, data modelling, and integration patterns, you’ll craft solutions that are user‑centric, sustainable, and aligned with ANZ’s enterprise standards and strategic roadmap.

 

With strong leadership, communication skills and a coaching mindset, you’ll guide design direction, uplift delivery teams, champion best‑practice engineering, and help stakeholders and squads maximise the value of the Salesforce platform.

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like

 

 

You will be responsible for:

 

  • Solution Design: Lead the design of end-to-end Salesforce solutions across multiple clouds and multiple projects.
  • Integration Strategy: Define integration strategies with ANZ’s core banking and third-party systems.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide applications and solutions design oversight and guidance to delivery teams, review technical designs and ensure adherence to ANZ’s standards and best practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions, and present solution options in clear, non-technical language.
  • Strategic Contribution: Contribute to ANZ’s technology roadmap, particularly in CRM, customer experience, and Salesforce adoption.
  • Capability Uplift: Mentor and coach software engineers (technical and functional) to uplift Salesforce capability within the bank.

 

 

Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?

 

To thrive and excel in this role, you should ideally possess the following:

 

  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Solution Designer or Senior Engineer, with multiple end-to-end implementations, with 8+ years’ experience in the Salesforce eco-system.
  • Technical expertise in Salesforce Clouds, Declarative & Programmatic Development, Git-based pipelines, and Integration patterns.
  • Certifications: Salesforce Certified Application Architect; Platform Sharing & Visibility Architect; Admin; Developer; App Builder; Service Cloud Consultant; Sales Cloud Consultant
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in Financial Services, especially in the banking sector is advantageous.
  • Architecture Frameworks: Familiarity with architecture frameworks and governance practices.
  • Compliance & Security: Strong understanding of security, compliance, and data governance in financial services.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to help shape ANZ’s Salesforce strategy, uplift team capability, convey technical concepts to peers, contribute to use-case solutioning, and perform peer reviews.
