As a Senior Directory Services Engineer, you will work within the ANZ identity infrastructure, efficiently support production Windows infrastructure and provide resolution for incidents and ensure high availability of infrastructure. You will maintain and transform our infrastructure through adoption of new technologies and methodologies

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like?

 

 

As a Directory Services Engineer, you are accountable for:

 

  • Administration and support of Ping, EntraID and other modern authentication providers
  • Supporting a Windows Server infrastructure fleet comprised of multiple versions of Windows across differing hosting platforms (physical, on prem, cloud)
  • Supporting Active Directory, System Center and other Microsoft infrastructure services
  • Supporting other identity infrastructure such as PKI, ADFS etc
  • Ensuring support standards are high with minimal impacts to users and the business, within defined SLA timelines.
  • As this is a technology role this is highly dynamic role with new technologies and methodologies being adopted all the time. It’s important that team members self-train on new technologies in additional to any arranged education opportunities to maximise our effectiveness and functionality.
  • Automation and efficiency are vitally important to the smooth operational of our platform. Team members are accountable for identifying opportunities for automation or process changes to improve efficiency.

 

Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Experience with modern authentication protocols (OIDC, SAML)
  • Proficient technical subject matter expertise and practical experience in the following technologies:  Microsoft Windows Server 2012-2025 (all variations), Active Directory & Azure AD, System Center (SCOM, SCCM, SCORCH), IIS, Failover Clustering, and an understanding networking protocols and topologies.
  • Sound problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong automation and scripting experience (PowerShell, Azure Automation, System Centre Orchestrator)
  • Experience in disaster recovery procedures and testing at an enterprise level
  • Experience as a technical support resource in a large enterprise environment (>1000 Servers)
  • Proficiency and Experience in the following technologies:  Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, Exchange on prem and online, Sharepoint, PKI, HPE hardware
  • Experience with an on-prem virtualisation stack such as vSphere & Hyper-V.
