About the role
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Card Switching team that is responsible for the authorisation and processing of ATM and POS card transactions through ANZ’s systems.
You will work in an agile, customer centric and collaborative team, working with a range of business and technical stakeholders to deliver outcomes and value for our customers. You will apply the necessary business analysis skills, techniques and activities to understand, validate, synthesise, articulate problems, opportunities, requirements, options and solutions.

Location: Wellington or Auckland or Christchurch
Hours: Business hours with all types of flexibility available
What will your day look like

Work to enhance the banks card payment and switching services.

Be a part of a team of BA’s, Developers, and Testers, providing a vital link to the banking business and also third party vendors.

Be adaptable and deliver using your business analysis techniques.

Utilise your Growth Mind-set and seek opportunities, learn from mistakes, and see your true potential as unlimited.

Be confident in your ability to be pragmatic, ask the right questions and raise risks with the right people. You need to be able to "talk the business analyst talk", while also being customer and solution focused, with outstanding communication skills and the ability to quickly build solid business relationships.
What will you bring?
-
Experienced in payments systems, and card switching in particular is essential.

Able to work effectively at a technical level of detail with the project team.

Have experience of transaction processing systems.

Experience in Payment Switches (e.g. Authentic, Base24, Powercard etc).

An excellent communicator with proven influencing, elicitation, and facilitation skills.

Business oriented – talking comfortably with stakeholders at all levels including the business executive, management teams, operational end users and technical project resources.

The keeper of the requirements –are they communicated, understood, designed, built, tested, still relevant, managed and maintained?

Experienced with Agile behaviours and approaches.
