Mō te tūranga - About the role
As a Quality Engineer Test in our Test Practice, you’ll play a key role in developing solutions to support our mobile application and backend development systems for our Open Banking team. You will design, develop, and execute automated and manual tests, working closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to embed quality testing into every stage of the development process.

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like?
As a Quality Engineer Test, you will:
- Create and execute automated and manual tests for mobile applications and backend systems
- Convert UI designs and acceptance criteria into testable criteria and manual test cases
- Embed quality testing into every stage of the development process
- Provide timely feedback to developers and product owners to drive continuous improvement
- Perform comprehensive testing using simulators and real-world mobile devices
- Utilise tools such as XCUITest, Espresso, Appium, Jenkins Pipeline, and Fastlane for mobile test automation
- Work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure quality
- Maintain an agile and open mindset, considering new ideas and approaches to complex problems
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve testing issues
Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Proven software testing experience in a Test Automation environment
- Previous experience with any of tools that support mobile test automation e.g. XCUITest, Espresso, Appium, Jenkins Pipeline, Fastlane
- Experience testing mobile applications across various devices and operating systems
- Ability to explore and identify tools which would raise levels of Test Automation
- Experience working in an agile environment (ideally Scrum)
- An agile and open mind-set, able to consider new ideas and approaches to complex situations
- Superior problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience testing or developing Node.js microservices would be highly advantageous
