Mō te tūranga - About the role

 

The Senior Delivery Lead is responsible for guiding the successful delivery of data initiatives across ANZ’s Data & Analytics teams. They act as the key engagement point between the business stakeholder and the delivery team – ensuring the teams are connected to the value of the initiative and have clear requirements whilst.

 

This is a hybrid role, combining elements of project management and product ownership.

The role combines excellent communication skills with knowledge of data to help deliver value. It plays a crucial role in growing the ANZ data warehouse and guides delivery teams in building robust, customer-centric, scalable enterprise solutions. The position offers the flexibility of blending working from home with time in modern offices, equipped with great facilities.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Standard)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

 

  • Oversee large, complex, projects across teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations.  
  • Work with the teams to break down the work and develop a delivery plan and backlog of work.  
  • Lead delivery practices and standards within Data & Analytics, ensuring adherence to the ANZ Delivery Framework, proactively identifying and managing risks and issues.  
  • Manage budgets, track investment spend, and ensure financial benefits are realised across initiatives.  
  • Manage interdependencies across initiatives, squads, and third-party providers to ensure seamless delivery.  
  • Represent Data & Analytics in enterprise-wide forums and governance bodies 
  • Communicate progress, risks and issues regularly to business stakeholders and other relevant parties within D&A leadership

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Extensive experience in product ownership, backlog management and agile delivery practices 
  • Strong background in project planning, governance, risk and issue management 
  • Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with senior leadership and executive stakeholders 
  • Proven ability to manage complex initiatives and portfolio level roadmaps 
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and influencing skills. 
  • Solid understanding of data and analytics, with a passion for delivering data-driven outcomes. 
  • 7-10 years project management experience
