Mō te tūranga - About the role
As a iOS Engineer in our Open Banking team, you’ll play a key role in building and contributing to the development and maintenance of ANZ’s mobile banking platform (goMoney app). You will be responsible for developing and enhancing functionality of banking systems to meet business needs as we continue to build out our Open Banking capabilities.

As a iOS Engineer, you will:

Support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the goMoney mobile banking app

Complete sprint tasks and user stories to ensure timely delivery of features

Conduct quality assurance through code reviews and testing

Support the delivery and release of mobile banking app updates, ensuring smooth deployment processes

Contribute to the improvement of the codebase and methodologies, promoting best practices
-
Working in an Agile scrum team and participating in all applicable ceremonies

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
-
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate into the app
-
Participate in Agile scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide progress updates

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

A strong passion for mobile development and a keen interest in the latest industry trends

Extensive experience in native iOS development, including proficiency in SwiftUI and Objective-C
-
Proven track record as an iOS developer within Agile teams, contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, strategies, and methodologies

Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
-
Skill in balancing the often-competing priorities of quality, time, and scope with a thoughtful and strategic approach
-
Experience in mentoring and sharing knowledge with peers, promoting a culture of learning and growth
-
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively
-
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Commitment to delivering high-quality, user-centric mobile applications

Previous experience in a financial services environment would be beneficial but not mandatory
