About the Role
This is a leadership role with real purpose. As Senior Manager in our Business & Agri function, you’ll play a central part in supporting the financial wellbeing and long-term success of our customers across the Wellington region. You’ll guide a high-performing team of Relationship Associates and Managers, helping them to deliver exceptional outcomes for local businesses.

You’ll be at the heart of the Wellington Business & Agri team—a space full of opportunity—leading a talented group and contributing to a clear strategic direction. Your focus will be on empowering our people and customers to succeed, while fostering strong, enduring connections across the wider community.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Relationship Associates and Relationship Managers to consistently deliver exceptional customer outcomes
- Use your Business Banking expertise to support sound decision-making and guide team performance
- Represent ANZ in local markets—engaging with customers, community groups and industry events
- Help shape and embed frameworks that drive consistency across credit practices, team training, and operational models
- Champion a culture of accountability, inclusion and data-informed thinking

You’re a people-focused leader with a strong understanding of business lending, financial analysis and relationship management. You thrive in collaborative environments and bring clarity, energy and care to everything you do.
- Proven ability to coach and empower others, creating a positive, high-performing team culture
- Solid understanding of credit, financial statements and the needs of Business Banking clients
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Experience navigating complexity while keeping customer and business outcomes in focus
- Motivation to grow trusted relationships and contribute meaningfully to the region’s strategy
