About the Role

 

The Assistant Manager role is an integral part of our business service proposition. In this role, you will assist the Relationship Manager to develop sustained business growth within the business with a high focus on Agribusiness, whilst maintaining sound risk management to ensure that a quality portfolio is maintained. To maximise returns to the group, the position will require a close working relationship with our product specialists.

What will your day look like?

 

As an Assistant Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

 

  • Grow the business by driving new customer acquisition and identifying profitability opportunities.
  • Increase share of wallet through targeted analysis and insight-led sales activities.
  • Support cross-selling by partnering closely with product teams for client solutions.
  • Maintain strong portfolio management, ensuring timely monitoring, reporting, and documentation.
  • Deliver on personal development goals to maximise performance.
  • Foster a customer-centric culture through effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Adhere to ANZ compliance, risk, and credit policy requirements at all times.

What will you bring?

 

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Strong understanding of financial analysis and the structuring of security arrangements.
  • Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proven customer service capability (internal and external), with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated negotiation abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal qualities, including confidence, professionalism, integrity, and a high level of accountability.
