About the Role

As an Executive Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in enabling the effectiveness of the Country Head Japan and the Japan Leadership Team.

 

This role combines executive support and business management responsibilities, ensuring seamless coordination of leadership priorities, stakeholder engagement, governance activities and business planning. You will act as a trusted partner to senior leaders, helping drive operational effectiveness, business discipline and strategic execution across the Japan franchise.

What will your day look like?

As an Executive Assistant, you will:

 

  • Provide proactive executive support to the Country Head Japan, including calendar management, expense management, communications and stakeholder coordination
  • Coordinate leadership meetings, travel, events and key business activities to ensure smooth execution and follow-up
  • Organise and manage client and staff events 
  • Support the operating rhythm of the Japan Leadership Team, including governance forums, planning activities and business reviews
  • Deliver reporting, analysis and insights to support decision-making across business, financial and risk matters
  • Drive continuous improvement across reporting, planning and business management processes while supporting operational discipline and compliance

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

  • Proven experience providing executive support to senior leaders within a complex organisation
  • Exposure to business management, consulting, operations or strategic planning activities
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and reporting capability, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High levels of professionalism, discretion and sound judgement when handling confidential information
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across teams and functions
  • Professional proficiency in  English and Japanese (highly preferred)
  • Experience within financial services or a regulated environment
  • Exposure to business planning, financial analysis or risk management
  • Familiarity with governance processes and executive-level reporting
