About the Role

 

As a Senior Analyst, Accounts Payable in our Institutional Operations team you will play a key role and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all accounts payable transactions. This role involves reviewing vendor invoices, processing payments, reconciling transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and managing accounts payable tax responsibilities.

What will your day look like?

 

As a Senior Analyst, Accounts Payable you will;

 

  • Review and verify vendor invoices to ensure they match purchase orders and contracts.

  • Ensure accuracy in reviewing invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.

  • Carefully verify amounts, vendor details, payment terms, and compliance with policy.

  • Handle the processing of payments to vendors, ensuring all payments are made on time and in compliance with company policies.

  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions, identify discrepancies, and resolve any issues that arise.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records of all accounts payable and asset management transactions.

  • Ensure all transactions comply with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Manage withholding tax for payments to vendors, ensuring the correct amount is withheld and remitted to tax authorities.

  • Maintain and verify tax-related documents for vendors, ensuring all necessary tax identification information is on file.

  • Prepare and submit required tax reports for independent contractors and other relevant tax filings.

What will you bring?

 

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and accounting standards.

  • Competency in MS Office, especially Excel.

  • Proficiency in accounting software.

  • Analytical skills to evaluate vendor and employee transactions, ensuring they’re legitimate and correctly documented. Ability to identify discrepancies and investigate potential errors or fraud.

  • Basic knowledge of tax laws related to accounts payable.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in using PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and macros.

  • Ability to analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies.

  • Mandarin language proficiency as you will interact with Mandarin speaking vendors.
