About the Role
As a Regulatory Reporting Specialist in our Institutional Finance team, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely completion of local regulatory reporting requirements in support of the ANZ Taiwan Finance Team. You will ensure that all necessary inputs into the reporting process are complete, accurate, and compliant with local regulations and internal Finance policies and procedures.
You will also play a dual role, managing your core responsibilities while acting as a backup for the local regulatory reports approver and ensuring continuity and accountability in the reporting process. Timely resolution of reporting queries will be key to maintaining data integrity and operational efficiency.
As part of the Financial Control Community of Practice, you will contribute to the formulation, implementation, and monitoring of accounting policies and internal controls. You will be accountable for delivering accurate, reliable, and timely financial information, streamlining processes, and embedding a strong governance culture across the Finance function

What will your day look like?
As a Regulatory Reporting Specialist you will;
- Manage the preparation and review of local regulatory returns and surveys, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Provide high-quality supporting analysis and documentation, addressing queries from management, regulators, and external auditors.
- Monitor regulatory ratios and escalate issues promptly to the Line Manager and Business for appropriate action.
- Lead and contribute to project initiatives related to regulatory reporting, including new forms, product launches, system implementations, and automation efforts.
- Participate in month-end closing activities and ensure accurate reporting for individual returns.
- Serve as a backup approver for local regulatory reports, supporting continuity and accountability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (Operations, Front Office, Internal Audit) and external parties (Regulators, External Auditors).
- Act as a key contact for providing information and advice to auditors and regulators, influencing internal stakeholders to uphold reporting standards.
- Manage and continuously improve reporting processes to ensure they are well-controlled, efficient, and compliant.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance financial process efficiency and adopt best practices.
- Support and guide team members, contributing to a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
- Uphold ANZ’s core values in daily interactions and support financial governance activities across the business.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Solid professional experience in Finance roles, preferably within banking or institutional finance.
- Solid background in local regulatory reporting, with strong knowledge of the financial services industry.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a clear focus on delivering value to internal and external customers.
- Strategic thinking and effective prioritization skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
- High level of initiative and a proactive mindset, consistently meeting commitments and taking on responsibilities that drive improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is essential, as this role involves regular engagement with stakeholders who communicate in these languages
