About the Role
As a Head of Technology in our International Technology team you will lead the effective and efficient operation of the Technology function in Taiwan, ensuring seamless alignment with divisional and global technology strategies, operations, and planning. You will play a critical role in integrating local technology initiatives with ANZ’s broader business objectives, driving innovation, resilience, and operational excellence.
You will also be responsible for the governance and management of IT services supporting the Taiwan business, establishing and maintaining robust structures, processes, and frameworks that enable secure, scalable, and high-performing technology delivery.

What will your day look like?
As a Head of Technology you will be responsible for
- Overseeing the management and execution of the Information Technology function and its activities within ANZ Taiwan
- Engaging with senior stakeholders to provide technology consultancy and ensure alignment between business needs and technology capabilities.
- Managing the country’s IT budget and service costs, ensuring optimal value and efficiency.
- Driving customer satisfaction through the delivery of stable, reliable, and business-aligned technology services.
- Implementing robust risk management practices to safeguard the security, integrity, and availability of systems and data.
- Leading regulatory engagement, ensuring compliance with local technology-related regulations and maintaining readiness for audits and reviews.
- Providing leadership to the local Technology team, with a focus on Application Services, capability development, and performance management.
- Ensuring the team’s structure and skillsets are fit-for-purpose to support current operations and future strategic direction.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence executive stakeholders and chair governance forums.
- Extensive experience in the banking and financial services industry, with a proven track record managing large, complex application portfolios.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing offshore, in-country, and cloud-based application outsourcing, with strong governance capabilities.
- Skilled in facilitating risk and compliance assessments in collaboration with security and regulatory partners.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills across diverse business and technical teams, with a proven ability to manage in regulated environments.
- Deep understanding of IT Service Management, with the ability to embed global standard operating procedures and governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a technology budget of approximately $3 million.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin, essential for engaging with local stakeholders and regulators.
