About the Role

 

As a Financial Analyst, Regulatory Reporting in our Financial Control team in Taiwan you will play a  a key part in supporting the ANZ Taiwan Finance Team with local regulatory reporting, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal financial policies. You will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and reliable financial reports while maintaining strong governance and internal controls.

 

As part of the Financial Control Community of Practice, this role contributes to the formulation, implementation, and monitoring of accounting policies, ensuring the integrity of financial data and compliance with local regulatory obligations. The position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong commitment to financial accuracy, regulatory adherence, and process optimization.

What will your day look like?

 

As a Financial Analyst, Regulatory Reporting you will;

 

  • Prepare and submit local regulatory returns accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. 

  • Maintain high standards in supporting analysis and work papers to ensure integrity in financial reporting. 

  • Provide key financial information to management, regulators, and external auditors as required. 

  • Contribute to various project initiatives related to local regulatory reporting changes and improvements. 

  • Support month-end closing activities and ensure accurate reporting of individual returns. 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Finance and Operations teams to facilitate seamless information exchange. 

  • Assist in managing well-controlled, efficient reporting processes and escalate issues promptly when necessary. 

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements while supporting continuous process improvement. 

  • Foster collaboration within the team and demonstrate ANZ’s core values in day-to-day activities. 

  • Uphold strict adherence to financial regulations, policies, and governance standards while maintaining ethical business practices. 

What will you bring?

 

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Strong background in local regulatory reporting with solid knowledge of the financial services industry.

  • Prior professional experience in a Finance role.

  • Strong numerical and logical reasoning skills to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

  • High level of attention to detail and accountability in all job duties.

  • Certifications such as the Securities Certificate and Bill Finance Certificate are preferred.

  • Ability to identify and resolve issues in reporting processes proactively.

  • Collaboration with Finance and Operations teams to facilitate efficient information exchange.

  • Commitment to process improvement and adherence to internal and external reporting requirements.

  • Effective communication skills to convey financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of governance, risk management, and compliance principles to maintain ethical business practices.
