About the role

Role Location: ANZ Taiwan

Role Type: Permanent, Full-time

 

 

As a Chief Financial Officer, Taiwan you will lead the country finance team to provide both professional and strategic financial support and advice to the business and ensure a robust control environment is maintained to safeguard the integrity of the financial information that meets the expectation of our external auditor and regulators

 

Your key priorities and responsibilities include:

 

  • Ensure that there are sufficient controls, governance over accounting & reporting of ANZ in Taiwan in line with Group policies and local requirements

  • Inquiring and challenging for financial integrity

  • Driving business performance in the country to meet earnings targets set by Institutional

  • Manage country funding requirements and economic and regulatory capital

  • Responsible for provision of accurate and timely financial reporting for Group, Regulatory and Statutory purposes

  • Maintain effective control of expenditure and proactively undertake the necessary investigation to identify opportunities to save costs

  • Manage relationships with regulators

  • Drive the Finance agenda in all relevant forums including but not limited to ALCO & ExCo 

  • Develop and manage the performance of the Finance team to ensure quality output as well as individual development, including coaching and guidance to enable staff to meet agreed goals with clarity around individual roles and expectations

  • Full understanding of and compliance with internal policy and procedural requirements as well as regulatory/statutory requirements

 

About you

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Accounting degree or equivalent, preferably currently undertaking Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or equivalent

  • Solid professional experience in Finance or auditing roles with and experience leading teams

  • Inquiring and challenging for financial integrity  

  • Strong analytical skills, independent and clear thinking/problem solving and project management skills         

  • Partnering and influencing skills

  • Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations

  • Proficient oral and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English
