About the Role

 

As an Associate Director, Research and Analysis Taiwan you will manage a portfolio of International Banking clients in Taiwan primarily focused on the Technology Industry to carry out the Research & Analysis function.

 

Research & Analysis is primarily responsible for identifying and effectively managing risks inherent in the client's business model and industry to support informed credit recommendations.

What will your day look like?

 

As an Associate Director, Research and Analysis you will;

 

  • Prepare high-quality credit papers with sound evaluation of client risks and clearly articulated risk mitigation strategies
  • Undertake financial analysis and industry research to support informed credit recommendations
  • Support deal structuring and manage credit and transaction documentation in line with internal policies and approval requirements
  • Manage and coordinate risk grade review events, ensuring appropriate analysis, documentation, and stakeholder engagement
  • Work closely with clients, Relationship teams, and Risk to address performance‑related matters, including covenant compliance and risk grade reviews
  • Perform portfolio analysis and ongoing monitoring to identify emerging risks and ensure controls remain effective

What will you bring?

 

 

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in credit analysis, ideally covering mid‑cap and large corporate clients
  • Good working knowledge of banking products and structures, including loans, trade finance, and global markets
  • A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Well‑developed organization and time‑management capabilities
  • Strong written, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an advantage as this role will engage with Mandarin speaking clients/stakeholders.
