About the Role
As an Associate, Corporate Coverage in our Institutional Relationship Team, you will report to the Head of Corporate Coverage, Taiwan and will provide coverage and operational support to Senior Frontline Relationship Bankers. The individual will be supporting corridor clients from the ANZ network and driving relationship development with targeted clients in line with the bank’s growth strategy. The role focuses on cross-selling activities across different product groups to originate and penetrate client relationships through value-added advisory and services.

What will your day look like?
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Primary Relationship Manager for important Multinational Corporate accounts that ANZ Taiwan banks with. The RM will have primary responsibility for setting up local Taiwan branch credit facilities, e-banking and foreign exchange services in liaison with Global Relationship Managers offshore.
- Secondary Relationship Manager in supporting on strategic complex, and high touch Taiwan Corporate accounts. Support the senior bankers in developing and maintaining client relationships, including preparing client presentations, attending meetings, and responding to client inquiries.
- Actively support New-To-Bank opportunities including targeting names, identifying wallet opportunity set, and planning engagement/milestones.
- Account planning to review opportunities, progress against milestones, credit or return challenges, and forward planning.
- Conduct industry and company research to identify new business opportunities and monitor existing trends, themes, or clients relevant to the performance and upside of the Taiwan Branch.
- Work closely with other departments within the bank including Research & Analysis, credit risk, legal, and compliance teams, to support execution of transactions and support the administrative process. Examples include Sanction Enhanced Due Diligence, Compliance Checklist, KYC/onboarding, etc.
- Lead and manage corridor engagement with ANZ’s key APAC network countries including leading calls, identifying opportunities, and tracking follow ups / action items.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Proven experience with credit, lending products and portfolio management.
- Ability to work within a team and autonomously to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- Planning and organizational skills, capable of prioritizing effectively in order to meet all requirements – strong attention to detail, limited supervision and capable of driving agenda for customer, product, relationship and understand credit and market risks.
- Monitor and manage non-financial risks to safeguard the bank’s operations and reputation.
- Highly advanced collaboration, relationship, analytical and influencing skills.
- Experience with a Financial Institutional in a client facing role is preferred.
- Advanced written and oral communication skills are essential. Fluency in Mandarin is advantageous but ability to communicate effectively in English is a prerequisite.
