About the Role

 

The Markets Pre-Trade Services team in Institutional Markets is responsible for managing the Markets Client Lifecycle, including onboarding, amendments, offboarding, and related activities. Key services include market onboarding, lifecycle management, client servicing, and escalation management for both Front Office and clients.

 

This role requires subject matter expertise in Markets products, the trade lifecycle, regulatory requirements, and key internal stakeholders. You must be able to understand and manage the end-to-end Markets client lifecycle process across Funds, Corporates, FICC, and Debt Capital Markets on behalf of Front Office staff, with minimal guidance, while providing expert decision-making on process and product requirements.

 

The role also involves developing and maintaining strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and service providers, while ensuring global requirements, including OTC and regulatory obligations, are met both in Australia and globally.

What will your day look like?

 

As a Manager, Pre-Trade Services, you will:

  • Prepare Management Information reports for clients
  • Provide transparency & grow the business through prioritisation of resource to focus on clients profitable for ANZ
  • Maximise wallet opportunity by Onboarding clients in shortest time possible
  • Reduce any financial loss which may arise from Client escalations received by Client Services
  • Manage the customer, Sales, and relationship manager expectations when servicing the customer
  • Act as a customer escalation contact, interact with key client to understand current and future requirements, receive feedback on ANZ’s performance, and look for solutions to any problems encountered
  • Provide tailored solutions to client’s overall Markets Life Cycle challenges that considers global regulatory and compliance requirements, along with product fulfilment requirements to ensure product behaves as client wishes and has a positive customer experience
  • Act as customer contact point, building lasting client relationships by taking ownership of customer enquiries and work collaboratively to achieve a resolution
  • Provide oversight, quality control and escalation on teams onboarding due diligence on new clients, periodic review and data management process
  • Responsible for making an analytical risk assessment in line with Policy and Procedures ensuring end-to-end on-boarding process is followed according to ANZ policy and regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring end-to-end onboarding and life cycle process is followed according to ANZ policy and local regulatory requirements
  • Maintain the integrity of work and data generated and report regular communication with the relevant stakeholders
  • Provide input from vast experience and Identify opportunities to improve process and lead the global implementation of these improvements.
  • Act as an SME, you will manage and build relationships with customers and Relationship Managers to ensure all ANZ’s Markets Customer’s experiences are understood and all requirements are met
  • Effectively manage team members ensuring both objectives are meet and individuals receive growth and career opportunities
  • You will work according the ANZ Values and maintain a customer focus in your day to day life
  • Provide management coverage in line manager’s absence or as requested for particular delegated projects
  • Ensure all services delivered comply with ANZ Group governance requirements, policies, processes and standards and with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Resolve issues or escalate them as required

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Experience in Banking, preferably in Markets space
  • Knowledge of Markets products, different client types, and trade life cycle and Markets processes
  • Strong regulatory knowledge and ability to address audit outcomes and implement process controls. Be able to identify risks in processes and take ownership to improve processes
  • Strong system knowledge across Markets External Platforms
  • Understand the Markets Trade Lifecycle (trade execution, confirmations, settlements)
