What will your day look like?

As a Senior Software Engineer, you are expected to focus on best practice approaches on software engineering and development. You will provide specialist technical expertise, supports design and development of solutions that meet long term business and customer needs. Your resolution should be stable, secure, scalable, extensible and maintainable.  Your role includes ensuring that designs are in compliance with architectural standards and guidelines, advising on functional issues and mentoring developers as they work through designing, coding, configuring and testing solutions. You will also:

 

  • Undertake system and program design for all predominantly LoanIQ and Orion system related projects.
  • Produce design specifications capable of being interpreted by less experienced staff. Interprets system requirements into designs within the existing frameworks using necessary technical guidelines and design methodologies.
  • Participate in applications system development process, builds the solution and ensures the final solution meets customer requirements.
  • Provide estimates of time and resources required for delivering Projects and related artefacts applying agreed processes. 
  • Participate in design/artefacts walkthroughs, highlighting and discussing any apparent errors, omissions or deviation from standards with other team members. 
  • Provide technical programming consultancy and facilitate system walkthroughs. 

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Many years of experience in core banking\lending.
  • Proficiency in LoanIQ key technical stack
  • Proficiency in LoanIQ Infrastructure and Technical Design
  • Proficiency in LoanIQ SDK, Inquiry API's, Batch modules.
  • Proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring boot.
  • Micro services & Rest API design
  • Docker, Kafka , SQL and noSQL DB design/usage experience (db2, postgres, mongo).
  • Flexible to work on LoanIQ and Orion as per the demand
  • Proficiency in Automation, Continuous Integration and deployment methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Cloud based technologies is an added plus.
  • Experience delivering technology change in a large, complex environment, where integration and quality is key
  • Strong understanding of Syndicated Banking product environment and the underlying Core Systems technology.
  • Proficiency in Agile Methodology (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Ability to work as a team player as well as individual contributor.
  •  Ability to guide new joiners and junior team members.
