About the Role

 

The Senior Lending Assistant ensures every approved deal is executed cleanly, quickly and correctly — from documentation through to drawdown. Deliver and owning the end-to-end fulfilment and execution of lending outcomes.  The Senior Lending Assistant also plays an active role supporting  the Lenders and Bankers with lending related requests that are critical to retail credit submissions.

What will your day look like?

 

Deliver seamless execution of lending outcomes by preparing documentation and managing drawdown processes, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant fulfilment of approved credit decisions.

  • Prepare and manage end-to-end documentation requests, including initial system loading and coordination with doc prep teams.
  • Liaise across stakeholders (Lenders, Ops, Legal) to resolve documentation queries quickly and accurately.
  • Support Lenders by ensuring all approved deals are execution-ready and progressed without delay.
  • Maintain clear communication to ensure client expectations are met through settlement.
  • Ensure all lending outcomes are delivered right first time with no defects or rework.
  • Identify key risks within documentation and escalate where required.
  • Ensure all files meet credit approval conditions and policy requirements.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail to eliminate documentation errors and defects.
  • Support audit readiness through accurate and compliant file management.

 

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Experience in lending support, documentation or credit execution roles.
  • Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Sound understanding of credit, risk and lending processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to support credit paper preparation.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Working knowledge of ANZ systems, processes and procedures.
  • Ability to identify key business drivers and support risk-aware decision making.
  • Solid analytical capability to support lending and documentation processes.
