About the Role

The Associate Director/Senior Manager, Desk Quant will be working as part of the Front Office Quants and Analytics team towards Sky platform support and build and will be based in Sydney. 
 

The role requires product knowledge in one or more of following asset classes, in order to understand and support pricing, risk, PnL, and VaR analytics for the various desks in ANZ Australia markets business: a) Interest Rate and Bonds b) FX c) Commodity d) Credit derivatives, e) Balance sheet trading
 

In particular, (1) specialized experience in Fixed Income (Bonds) or (2) Cross asset product knowledge including understanding of XVA framework (CVA, FVA, RWA, or KVA) would be greatly advantageous.

What will your day look like?

As an Associate Director/Senior Manager, Desk Quant, your accountabilities include:

 

  • Work closely and build relationships with trading desks in Australia,
  • Understand user requirements and work with Quant developers to ensure delivery of the desired functionality.
  • Supporting the platform capabilities - 3rd Level of support for Sky platform.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Proven track record in Quant background and knowledge of the relevant markets product.
  • Experience in dealing with internal and external clients and negotiating with clients and stakeholders at all seniority levels.
  • Knowledge of regulatory framework and requirements in relevant countries.
  • Experience with working in a team across multiple geographies and time zones is required
  • Strong customer focus and ability to drive result
