About the Role
As a Senior Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst in our Insto Markets area, you’ll play a key role in supporting the manager of regulatory reporting to ensure ANZ’s Markets business (and other business units as required) complies with the various OTC derivative reporting regimes including ASIC, CFTC and associated G20 reporting as well as Korea and MiFID commitments. The role will assist with the supervision/monitoring of ANZ’s OTC Derivative reporting and manage the implementation of various remedial releases.

What will your day look like?
You will be responsible for:
- As part of the monitoring function, the role is responsible for identifying issues affecting the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of ANZ’s OTC derivatives reporting to the global regulators.
- Perform BAU for OTC Reg Reporting (G20, MiFiD and/or Korea)
- Issues identified needs to be investigated down to a root-cause, with business impacts to be communicated to Regulatory Reporting management and Compliance where necessary.
- Provide business requirements based on issues identified to internal tech and/or vendor.
- Management of the remediation including pre/post implementation testing, trade replay and sign-off is also expected.
- Have understanding of Non-Financial Risk frameworks and ability to apply those in the tasks performed.
- Engagement with a variety of stakeholders including Front/Middle Office, Compliance and Technology, with the ability to identify issues/causes and perform risk-based remediation.
- Analysis produced in this function will be included in various MIS reporting streams so clear/thorough communication skills are essential.
- The ability to identify further reporting/control gaps for key risks, and a track record of developing operational/technical solutions to close these gaps (and deliver improvements) will also be favoured.
- Excellent knowledge of OTC products and respective workflows through the various systems, including manual and automating processes.
- Manage and improve operational workflows for regulatory reporting activities, ensuring accurate and timely submission to regulators.
- Work with different teams to identify and resolve issues related to data quality, reporting timelines, and regulatory compliance.
- Support the management of regulatory reporting projects, ensuring that timelines, resources, and deliverables are met.
- Mentor junior regulatory reporting business analysts.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting frameworks, including COREP, FINREP, EMIR, MiFID II, CRD IV, Basel III, or other relevant regulations.
- Ability to provide analysis and feedback on regulatory projects/initiatives with a track record of delivering regulatory change and/or process improvement to BAU.
- Experience with Murex 2.11, 3.10, Microsoft Excel (VBA), Access and SQL analytical skills required.
- Ability to develop a thorough understanding of processes flows, and work under pressure to investigate and remediate anomalies/issues identified.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills predicate the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
