About the Role
As a Senior Business Analyst at Suncorp Bank, you will support the uplift in data quality across the Bank’s ecosystem. Part of the Data Program of Action responsibility is to analyse, develop solutions for, and remediate data quality issues across Suncorp Bank’s ecosystem. You will be required to be the bridge between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that requirements are gathered, specifications are well defined, and solutions are successfully delivered.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to focus on data quality remediation, including post implementation support, enhancements, and system integration. Additionally, you will be responsible for mentoring junior analysts, fostering their growth, and promoting best practices in business analysis and technical documentation.
We are looking for a dynamic and proactive individual with strong learning agility and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. The successful candidate will be mostly self-guided, take initiative, and drive excellent outcomes for Suncorp Bank Customers.
Role Type: 12-month Fixed Term contract
Role Location: Brisbane or Sydney
Work Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
What will your day look like?
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will:
- Bridge business needs and technical solutions by gathering requirements, defining specification, and ensuring successful solution delivery.
- Manage technical discussions across teams, including bank technology, bank data services and the business.
- Collaborate and work closely with stakeholders & cross-functional teams to understand define and prioritise post implementation changes and requirements
- Drive agile processes, managing user stories, backlog prioritisation and sprint planning activities
- Ensure project deliverables align with business goals, compliance standards and customer satisfaction objectives
- Manage stakeholder relationships effectively communication project progress, risks, and issues effectively
- Drive continuous improvement and optimisation initiatives within the project, leveraging industry best practice and innovative solutions.
- Develop clear concise reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Be able to develop an approach to running key stakeholder information gathering sessions and documentations and present the approach back to key project stakeholders.
- Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices in business analysis and technical documentation
- Understanding the Suncorp business strategy, key systems/process, and important issues/constraints.
- Documenting “as is” and “to be” processes.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Demonstrable experience as a Senior Business Analyst from the business side
- Experience working in Banking or Financial services
- Strong presentation skills- comfortable with talking and presenting to multiple types of stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage junior analysts and engage with cross functional teams
- Ability to work across multiple workstreams concurrently, managing competing priorities effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to hit the ground running and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working within agile methodologies
