About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Scrum Master to join our team, focusing on a Regulatory Project within our Financial Crime and Compliance mission. This role is pivotal in supporting the Delivery Chapter in delivering various programs. As part of delivery leadership within the program, you will drive agile delivery activities, quarterly planning session, stakeholder management, risk and financial management of the project.  

 

Role Type: 12-month Fixed Term contract
Role Location: 242 Pitt Street, Sydney. Candidates from Melbourne and Brisbane are also welcome to apply
Work Hours: Full-time

What will your day look like?

As a Scrum Master, you will:

  • Manage end-to-end project delivery (in agile Ways of Working)
  • Run agile ceremonies and ensure squads are within appropriate governance and practices
  • Be responsible for Quarterly planning and RAID management
  • Work with Scrum Masters/Project Managers and Program Managers to manage dependencies and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with and be able to influence a wide range of stakeholders and be able to communicate with people at all levels.  
  • Bring in the best delivery practices by following Momentum ways of working and coaching/guiding the towards success.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Experience as an Agile Delivery Lead or Scrum Master with exposure to project management, preferably in Financial Crime Compliance space
  • Demonstrated ability to hit the ground running and deliver results in a fast-paced environment, ability to quickly adapt to new environments, challenges, and an evolving environment.
  • Proactively manage issues, risks, and dependencies
  • Strong presentation & stakeholder management skills – comfortable with talking and presenting to senior business stakeholders and collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders, including compliance, legal, technology and business teams
  • Demonstrated leadership ability; being passionate about mentoring, coaching and inspiring others to work and think differently
  • Experience working in Banking or Financial services
  • Experience in financial forecasting and tracking will be highly regarded.
  • Strong foundations in agile and lean principles, with working experience across methodologies including Scrum, Kanban and design thinking and HCD will be highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in Jira and Confluence, with Scrum Master certification a plus
