About the Role
This is a lead role within the Central BG&C team, Institutional reporting to the functional Head. The role is responsible for a number of key Divisional BG&C governance activities in addition to playing a lead role in number of key uplift initiatives spanning risk culture, NFR capability uplift and risk governance.
The BG&C central team performs a centralised ‘run the bank better’ function for Institutional BG&C. It includes the BG&C’s Global Capability Centre team, and the divisional risk subject matter experts covering the 16 NFR themes. BG&C Central are the custodians of simple and effective reusable methodologies, templates and tools to support and continuously improve the quality and delivery of Control Officer services across the Division, including controls assurance and NFR governance. The function provides expertise to ensure Non-Financial risks are effectively managed in line with ANZ policies, procedures and frameworks, drives uplift in risk culture, and leads interactions with Institutional’s second and third lines of defence.

Work Hours: 40 hours weekly
What will your day look like?
As a Risk Culture and Governance Lead , you will:
- Partner with business facing BG&C teams and business stakeholders to successfully deliver NFR uplift initiatives.
- Play a lead role in design, oversight and execution of BG&C, Institutional strategic priorities
- Drive uplift in risk culture across Institutional and promote 'risk is everyone's responsibility'.
- Continuous improvement of Divisional risk governance architecture.
- Play a lead role in effective running of number of BG&C governance activities (LT meetings, NFR Pillar meetings, Townhalls etc.).
