About the Role

As an Analyst - Transaction Banker, in Transaction Banking Payments and Cash Management, your primary role is critical in enabling the PCM sales team to proactively identify, target and pitch to an existing client base.

 

The role will be cross functional as there will be a portion of the role supporting the Head of PCM on business matters nationally as well as directly supporting customers and Transaction Banking Managers within the PCM NSW Team.

 

This exciting opportunity arises amidst a period of significant development within the payments industry. Externally, there is a key focus on real-time payments, the need for clients to realign their business objectives and how ANZ can support in this transition. ANZ are in a growth phase of the business and need to move at speed to reach ANZ Institutional division’s plan for Transaction Banking. The role’s objectives are to support the team’s revenue and customer growth by collaborating with key senior stakeholders, leveraging our customer value proposition, and contributing to the ongoing expansion of the PCM business.

 

This role provides the opportunity to work closely with the broader transaction banking business, as well as exposure to senior stakeholders and colleagues across various products providing enormous learning and collaboration opportunities.

Role Type: Permanent

Role Schedule: Full-time, 40hrs/week

 

What will your day look like?

This role will have a high level of customer contact without directly managing a portfolio of clients which is a great introduction to Payments and Cash Management.

  • Transaction Management: Oversee and manage day-to-day transaction banking activities, including implementations and product migrations ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, PCM NSW team, and other departments, to facilitate great customer outcomes.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide insights on transaction trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness in transaction management. Additionally, the role will lead any remediation activity in support of the business.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with banking software.
