About the Role

As an Investment Strategy Lead in our Business & Private Bank domain, you’ll play a key role in helping to Lead Investment Strategy, Investment Solutions and Investment Relations to deliver distinctive propositions, trusted insights and sustainable client outcomes that support Grow Private, while building a high-performing, accountable and risk-aware culture.

You will provide the strategic direction for proposition development, key partnerships, adviser enablement and investment communications, ensuring delivery is aligned to Grow Private, ANZ's strategic priorities and sustainable client outcomes. Support the management of the end-to-end Private Investment Value Chain and convert market expertise, client insight and the strength of ANZ into scalable, differentiated solutions for HNW and UHNW clients.

What will your day look like?

• Lead Investment Solutions and Investment Relations, establishing clear mandates, priorities, performance measures and accountability frameworks, deliver with excellence by setting high standards of execution and ensuring strong performance, risk management and client outcomes across both functions.
• Manage key strategic partnership to ensure the delivery the maximum value in for Private by providing direction, prioritisation and governance of investment partners supporting Private
• Support the management of the end-to-end Private Investment Value Chain, including proposition governance, communications, adviser enablement, partner management, operational effectiveness and risk
• Build a strategic partnership with ANZ Private Advice leadership so propositions, communications and adviser enablement deliver a consistent client experience
• Act as the senior Investment Office representative across Private Banking, Advice, Risk, Product, Wealth Platforms, Marketing and external partners
• Use client, adviser and market insight to continuously improve investment propositions and communications
• Leadership, performance and culture
• Put customers first by setting direction through the lens of sustainable client and adviser outcomes
• Own the outcome through clear end-to-end accountability, transparent reporting and early escalation of risk
• Work as one by connecting ANZ Private Advice, Private Banking, Risk, Product and enterprise partners around shared priorities
• Develop future leaders and specialist capability through coaching, feedback, succession planning and targeted development
• Manage business performance, the Private Investment Value Chain and regulatory obligations with strong governance

What will you bring?

• 8–10 years’ relevant industry experience with deep knowledge of investment solutions for HNW and UHNW clients
• Tertiary or postgraduate qualification in business, finance, economics, or a related discipline; relevant advice qualifications desirable
• Demonstrated leadership of senior specialists across investment propositions, strategy, communications, or partnerships
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to connect investment capability to wealth penetration, retention, FUM and fee-based revenue growth
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including strategic partnership with ANZ Private Advice leadership
• Ability to set priorities, delegate effectively and hold teams accountable for end-to-end delivery
• Strong risk mindset with experience owning value-chain governance and escalating material risks early
• Outstanding written and verbal communication, with confidence engaging senior leaders, frontline teams, clients, and external partners
