About the Role

 

The Executive Director, Syndicate will be accountable for: 

  • Front office leadership role within the Capital Markets team.

  • Management and responsibility for the origination and execution of A$ F.I. primary transactions.

  • Coverage of both domestic and offshore F.I. issuers, working in close collaboration with offshore DCM

What will your day look like?

 

  • Lead and manage all aspects of A$ F.I. deal syndication from mandate to settlement
  • Coordinate with issuers, investors, legal counsel, and key internal stakeholders.
  • Develop distribution strategies based upon prevailing market conditions and investor appetite.
  • Provide strategic advice and market colour to F.I. issuers, alongside trade ideas, and execution guidance.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong issuer and investor relationships across institutional fixed income.
  • Prepare and deliver transaction updates, market briefings, and pricing recommendations.
  • Provide regular A$ pricing for both domestic and offshore F.I. issuers
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures
  • Support offshore origination teams with pitch materials and market insights.
  • Manage primary transactions within the risk management framework and established control processes. 
  • Contribute to strategic planning and manage multiple high-profile transactions simultaneously.
  • Organise and host domestic roadshow for F.I. issuers
  • Mentor and train junior team members to assist their professional development
  • Present at both internal and external conferences and facilitate panel discussions between issuers and investors

What will you bring?


The critical knowledge, skills and experience for this role are: 

  • Significant experience (>5-years) working in bond syndicate.
  • Deep understanding of primary market dynamics, pricing, investor behaviour, and execution logistics.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret and communicate market data clearly.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-profile transactions simultaneously.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
  • High professionalism, attention to detail, and resilience in fast-moving environments.
  • Pre-existing relationships with domestic and or offshore F.I. issuers would be highly regarded.
  • Experience originating and executing A$ F.I. primary issues would be highly regarded though is not mandatory.
