About the Role
Role type: Permanent, full time - 4 days per week in the office
Role location: ANZ Tower: 242 Pitt Street, Sydney
The Director, Structured Capital Markets will originate, structure, arrange and assist in the distribution of securitisation transactions for ANZ’s Institutional and Corporate clients. The SCM team works closely with external clients and ANZ Relationship Managers to provide structured secured funding backed by a range of assets.
Key dimensions include:
- The origination and execution of warehouse and term securitisation transactions for residential mortgages, auto and equipment receivables and trade receivable transactions in Australia and New Zealand.
- Identification of target clients aligned to SCM’s business strategy.
- Strengthening client relationships through (i) the delivery of superior customer coverage for all facets of their securitisation funding requirements (ii) superior execution skills and (iii) establishing a strong network.
What will your day look like?
Core accountabilities in this role include:
- Deal origination and execution.
- Deliver SCM financial targets consistent with the strategic agenda to build a best-in-class business.
- Build and promote collaborative relationships with our internal partners, Markets Sales, RMs, Syndicate & Sales Desks, Legal, Risk etc.
- Maintain and monitor securitisation facilities, ensuring compliance with facility terms, conditions and credit approvals.
- Deliver cross-sell across the business to generate growth.
- Ensure a robust end-to-end operating model. Implement and monitor identified front office control checks and deal processes and policies.
- Ensure all transaction risks have been assessed and mitigants established in accordance with Securitisation Policies and Procedures.
- Identification and management of all non-financial risks in accordance with ANZ policy.
What will you bring?
Critical and fundamental skills & experience to perform this role are as follows:
- Demonstrated expertise in the Australian securitisation market with a particular focus on residential mortgages, auto & equipment receivables and trade receivables.
- A deep understanding/experience of structured finance techniques, securitisation rating agency criteria and debt capital markets distribution strategies.
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients, influence and collaborate with cross functional teams and across the ANZ network.
- Strong knowledge of Markets product with a focus on key risk factors as they relate to credit, market, rating agency criteria and structuring in the securitisation context.
- A strong understanding of banking and securitisation regulations which impact ANZ’s ability to deliver SCM objectives.
