About the Role

The Director role advertised within the NSW Institutional Transaction Banking (TB) business is a client facing role primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of a client portfolio as well as being the sub segment lead for the Resources, Energy & Infrastructure business (REI). The role will help drive positive advocacy as well as being accountable for the operational strategy, retention and profitable growth of these clients.

 

You’ll work closely with partners across Relationship, Product Management, Implementation, Risk, Operations and Legal, to deliver Transaction Banking client solutions that are aligned to the strategic goals of the wider business.

 

In addition to expanding market share and supporting the business’s growth aspirations, you will play a vital role in the day to day running of the team, providing coaching, training, upskilling as well as fostering your own development and growth.

Role Type: Permanent

Role Schedule: Full-time, 40hrs/week

What will your day look like?

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of Resource, Energy and Infrastructure clients who utilise the bank’s Transaction banking product suite
  • Delivering an exceptional client experience via ownership of origination and account management whilst collaborating closely with internal stakeholders as part of the broader Relationship team
  • Understand the latest industry trends and changing landscape within the Payments space and how this fits within the sub segment
  • Shared ownership of risk, control and governance practices
  • Financial management of portfolio (drive growth, increased revenues and profitability);
  • Originating and building pipeline from existing clients through to execution of opportunities;
  • Developing client pricing to ensure sound, profitable growth;
  • Maintaining an active client calling program;
  • Preparing and delivering annual strategic Transaction Banking reviews to drive insights and opportunities in addition to co-developing client account plans with the Relationship teams;
  • Educating clients on developments and opportunities in Transaction Banking;
  • Supporting to drive a positive culture within the team, creating a high level of client satisfaction and Team engagement

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Experience in the Payments & Cash Management Industry, and/or Transaction Banking sales and / or relationship management;
  • Solid strategic thinking and business acumen to enable discussions with senior client representatives;
  • Demonstrated experience in a client facing role with strong research and analytical skills to achieve deep client understanding which lead to client specific propositions;
  • Ability to navigate through risk management frameworks, managing governance, compliance and regulation requirements across industry sectors
  • Strong influencing skills and an ability to work with multiple stakeholders across a variety of client segments
  • Prior people leadership experience is preferable
