About the Role

As a Business Banking Manager in one of our SME PODS, you’ll play a key role in helping to retain and grow an existing customer portfolio which focuses on delivering tailored, profitable solutions for the customer and business. The purpose of this role is to build customer engagement with existing small business customers and providetailored solutions and recommendations to support business growth and development.

What will your day look like?

As a Business Banking Manager, you will be responsible for :

  • Handling a high volume of inbound calls and proactively reaching out to customers through structured outbound lead campaigns.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service to a diverse range of clients within a team-managed portfolio.
  • Driving customer retention and fostering growth among existing business clients.
  • Understanding the aspirations of customers and supporting them in achieving their business development and expansion goals.
  • Contributing to a high-performing, collaborative team culture focused on rapid and effective customer solutions.
  • Achieving performance targets across a balanced scorecard framework.
  • Actively engaging with existing small business customers to strengthen relationships.
  • Managing a shared customer portfolio in coordination with your team.
  • Collaborating effectively with Lighthouse and CSO enablement teams to enhance customer outcomes.
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of the ANZ product suite to ensure customers receive tailored and appropriate financial solutions.

  • Partnering with individuals or organizations to pursue strategic initiatives and opportunities that generate commercial value.

  • Providing strong customer support by understanding their needs and offering relevant products, services, or thoughtful solutions.

  • Assessing and managing credit by evaluating customer creditworthiness, advising on risk, and structuring suitable credit options in line with internal policies and professional judgment.

  • Collecting, profiling, and analyzing data to generate insights that support business decisions and deliver effective customer solutions.
