About the Role
This Associate Director will drive revenue and profit for ANZ through the procurement of banking services with direct client accountability for Institutional Property clients. This is a key role in driving the Institutional Property NSW growth agenda with a strong origination focus. Execute on Relationship Banking strategic plans and contribute to ANZ’s purpose and strategy with a strong focus on Sustainability solutions.

What will your day look like?
You will drive revenue and profit for ANZ through the procurement of banking services with direct client accountability for Institutional Property clients.You are expected to build relationships with Executive Level (CEO/CFO/Treasurer) management at Institutional Property companies to set client engagement strategy and revenue growth strategy for clients in portfolio. You are expected to engage with internal stakeholders, including Risk, Research & Analysis, Sustainability and Product Partners to deliver best in market solutions for your allocated clients.
Your key priorities and responsibilities include:
- Direct client management as well as actively seeking new to bank opportunities from Property Fund Managers and offshore investors into Australian Real Estate
- Executing on Relationship Banking strategic plans and working closely with offshore teams where appropriate.
- Making decisions, setting priorities for the immediate team to deliver against in line with agreed performance objectives. Be a client advocate.
- Build a profile across ANZ network to ensure smooth client management
- Leverage an external network in the professional advisor, private debt and private equity real estate markets to source and review quality new to bank opportunities
- Consistently makes sound, high quality credit recommendations, based on thorough research and deep dive analysis, and disciplined application of Business Writing Strategy/Risk Appetite Statement and Credit Policies.
- Applies in-depth financing knowledge and broad product knowledge, and is consistently able to use this knowledge to optimise risk/return parameters for the bank
- Active engagement and building relationships with Product Partners, Risk, Sustainability and other key stakeholders within ANZ’s Institutional Bank and where appropriate other divisions of the Bank.
- Show leadership in ensuring team wellbeing and engagement and making a positive contribution to team culture.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Extensive experience with Institutional Banking and Finance Banking Sector
- In depth knowledge of a broad range of products and services with strong Property Industry knowledge.
- Tertiary qualifications preferably in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Economics
- Demonstrates abilities to structure/tailor value added innovative financial solutions.
- Strong team leadership skills, with ability to manage a diverse portfolio.
- Proven performance and broad Relationship Management experience with a focus on the corporate / insto market
- Excellent client handling, interpersonal and negotiating skills
