About the Role
As an Associate Director within our Institutional Transaction Banking Payments and Cash Management division. You’ll be joining a high performing team, entrusted with managing and optimising revenue within a specialised portfolio of institutional clients, understanding client needs, providing tailored TB solutions, and managing client accounts to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Your role will report to the segment lead and be instrumental in driving origination initiatives across an existing portfolio of clients, strategic sales, fostering innovation, and representing ANZ both internally and externally.

What will your day look like?
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of institutional clients who utilise the bank’s Transaction banking product set
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience via accountability for origination, ongoing account management as well as working closely with Operations to ensure a well-coordinated end to end service proposition
- Execute and build pipeline whilst developing client pricing to ensure sound, profitable growth
- Planning and measuring customer revenue, growth, volume and targets
- Tailoring solutions, completing customer needs analysis and understanding customers deeply to determine appropriate pricing to win and retain clients while protecting bank profitability
- Advocate for TB PCM, and promote the wider Transaction Banking agenda, strategy and capabilities
- Preparing and delivering Transaction Banking strategic reviews to drive insights and opportunities as well as developing customer account plans
- Enhance and actively drive initiatives across portfolio in conjunction with the Institutional relationship, Product, Operations, Legal and TB teams
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Extensive Transaction Banking experience within the Payments Industry, and/or Transaction Banking sales and / or relationship management with extensive knowledge of the payments eco-system and its regulatory overlay;
- Strong influencing skills and an ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a variety of jurisdictions
- Strong research and analytical skills along with the curiosity to achieve deep customer understanding to develop customer specific propositions.
- Ability to navigate through financial risk and non-financial risk management frameworks, managing governance, compliance and regulation requirements
- The ability to create a customer strategy and drive it through to execution, inclusive of forecasting for new opportunities and tracking progress across the relevant measures needed to achieve the objectives
- Sales and networking experience with relationship building skills and the ability to manage customers/stakeholders
- Monitoring and demonstrating financial & well managed disciplines in relation to the portfolio’s overall health.
