About the Role

 

 

The Structured Capital Markets (SCM) business originates, structures, arranges and supports the distribution of securitisation transactions for ANZ’s Institutional and Corporate clients. The SCM team works closely with clients, ANZ Relationship Managers and Risk to provide structured secured funding solutions backed by a range of assets.

What will your day look like?

 

 

Role Accountabilities:

 


•    Provide support in the origination and execution of warehouse and term ABS transactions for ANZ clients in Australia. Asset classes may include residential mortgages, auto and equipment, and trade receivables
•    Maintaining and monitoring securitisation facilities, alongside Risk and Front Office support, ensuring compliance with facility terms, conditions and credit approvals
•    In time develop an understanding of quantitative analysis (collateral pools & cashflow modelling) to ensure existing and new transactions are modelled in accordance with facility terms and rating agency criteria 
•    Ensuring all transaction risks have been assessed and mitigants established in accordance with Securitisation Policies and Procedures
•    Preparation of credit submissions for securitisation facilities (including warehouse funding facilities, derivatives and other supporting facilities) in a timely manner, consulting necessary stakeholders through the submission process
•    Collaborating with SCM FO Support team to ensure all client activity is understood and monitored appropriately.
•    Assisting with securitisation capital market activities, including:


                    - co-ordinating marketing materials for transactions 
                    - strong collaboration with Syndicate & Sales 
                    - responding to Investors Q&A on deal structures during the distribution phase;
                    - creation of tailored pitch books for current and prospective issuers and strengthening client relationships including all facets of their securitisation funding requirements 
                    - establishing strong network of key internal and external stakeholder contacts.

What will you bring?

 

 

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

 

•    Comply with ANZ Values, Code of Conduct and all relevant ANZ policies 
•    An understanding of structured finance techniques, securitisation rating agency criteria and debt capital markets distribution strategies
•    Experience with relationship or client management
•    Securitisation modelling skills including transaction structure for qualitative analysis of collateral pools
•    A track record in structured deal execution
•    An understanding of securitisation legal documentation and ability to negotiate with different stakeholders
•    Transactional and credit risk experience in the Australian securitisation market with a particular focus on residential mortgages, auto & equipment receivables 
•    An understanding of securitisation derivatives (including interest rate and cross currency swaps)
•    An understanding of accounting principles and credit risk assessment fundamentals
•    An understanding of banking and securitisation regulations which impact ANZ’s ability to deliver SCM objectives
•    Good organiser including competent time management skills and ability to work across multiple transactions and deal teams concurrently
•    Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
•    Accounting, legal or business related tertiary qualifications
