About the Role
Your role as a Transaction Banker within the Diversified Financials within the Transaction Banking Sales team will be responsible for managing and growing a client portfolio across Stockbrokers, Fin Techs, Finance Companies and Merchant Acquirers. This is a high profile role as you will be dealing with senior leaders within these customers who are keen to harness the latest solutions to provide real value to their end client.
The objective of the role is to drive positive advocacy and generate buying decisions from clients within this portfolio by working with key senior stakeholders to leverage the business strategy and more importantly delivering on execution.
This opportunity provides you the ability to contribute your skillsets to the wider Transaction Banking business as well as benefit from exposure in working in close co-ordination with colleagues across the ANZ network.

What will your day look like?
As a Transaction Banker you are accountable for:
- Managing a portfolio of clients who utilise the bank’s transaction banking product set
- Deliver exceptional customer experience via ownership of origination and account management while working closely with Operations, Risk and Legal partners & Relationship Managers.
- Planning and measuring customer revenue, growth, volumes and targets
- Shared ownership of risk, control and governance practices in conjunction with the Global Head of TB Financial Institutions
- Advocate for TB Financial Institutions, and promote the wider Transaction Banking agenda, strategy and capabilities
- Preparing and delivering Transaction Banking strategic reviews to drive insights and opportunities as well as developing customer account plans;
- Enhance and actively drive initiatives across both Cash and Trade verticals in conjunction with the FI/INSTO relationship, Product, Operations, Legal and TB teams;
- Financial management of portfolio (drive revenue and profitability) across Payments & Cash Management
- Developing customer pricing to ensure sound, profitable growth;
- Active customer calling program;
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Experience in the Payment industry, and/or Transaction Banking Sales and/or relationship management.
- Influencing skills and an ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a variety of jurisdictions
- Research and analytical skills to achieve deep customer understanding to develop customer specific service propositions.
- Strategic thinker and business acumen to enable discussions with senior client representatives regarding ANZ initiated deals; Demonstrated ability to multi-task;
- Ability to identify future needs of clients through key questioning techniques;
- Strong communication skills – both verbal and written to manage client expectations.
