About the Role


The Associate Director is responsible for client engagement, deal development/pitching for regional client business, on-going idea generation and development alongside the Capital Markets team globally for Australian DCM client base and meeting DCM financial targets set for the AU region and providing input to formulate a strategy on how to grow the business including cross sell opportunities / risk management.

What will your day look like?


This role is accountable for:

  • Growing and deepening client penetration for ANZs key Capital markets clients in the region and expanding the product suite to meet client and market needs.
  • Proaing closely with Debt and Derivatives members of the Institutional Rates Sales team to deliver holistic, comprehensive solutions (debt and derivatives).
  • Developing and providing quality and timely business/market updates to relevant internal relationship network and stakeholders and ANZ clients.  Engage closely with key partners across the bank such as Credit, Trade, Specialised finance, Lending, and other global product partners as part of a global coverage team.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Adherence to & on-going engagement in development of ANZs conflicts policy & procedures. Manage transactions within risk management and control processes.

What will you bring?


Critical knowledge, skills and experience required for this role:

  • Minimum 3 to 4 years demonstrated successful track record in Capital Markets.
  • Proven strong interpersonal skills, influencing and negotiating skills that can be used in motivating, influencing and advising key stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Experience working with syndicate team on all aspects of the deal life cycle, including book building, documentation, road show, pricing, execution and hedging
  • Highly organised with the ability to handle and coordinate an atmosphere of demanding high-pressure work and stretched working hours
  • Deep understanding of the Australian debt securities AMTN market.
  • Higher/Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance or Economics/Commerce.
  • Demonstrated experience in Asia/Australia/New Zealand product would be considered a plus.
