About the Role
We are seeking an experienced credit markets professional to join our dynamic Australian Credit team as Associate Director, Credit Trading. In this key front‑office role, you will be responsible for driving trading performance, managing risk, and contributing to the development and execution of our credit trading strategy across Australian and global markets.
This role is hands‑on and fast‑paced, requiring the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating closely with Sales, Research, Syndicate, and Risk partners. You will play a pivotal role in shaping market views, influencing portfolio positioning, and enhancing revenue generation across the desk.

What will your day look like?
- Work collaboratively with the credit trading team to develop and implement shared trading strategies for the broader suite of AUD credit products, fostering a cohesive and unified approach.
- Participate actively in team discussions to ensure alignment and synergy in the pursuit of overarching trading objectives.
- Utilize insights to highlight opportunities and make informed trading decisions and capitalize on market opportunities.
- Effectively manage and mitigate market, credit, and operational risks associated with credit trading across corporate, financial and SSA sectors.
- Adherence with Markets trading and desk mandates, governance and conduct policies, processes and standards including regulatory requirements.
- Actively participate in delivering value to the client base with pricing and liquidity provision as well as market insights and regular engagement.
- Deepen and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including sales and DCM partners as well as market counterparties and service providers.
- Engage with external counterparties and clients to enhance the business profile and broader involvement in industry participation.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and experience:
- 3+ years experience in a risk management function in Financial Markets and/or Fixed Income Asset Management.
- Direct experience in bond trading with a comprehensive understanding of bond products and derivatives. Direct experience in credit trading is highly regarded, however related fixed income trading experience will also be considered.
- A solid understanding of the AUD Bond Markets as well as broader global macroeconomics.
- A demonstrable focus on non-financial risk with in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk management practices.
- A history of sound financial risk management and delivery of sustainable financial outcomes.
- A strong track record of working successfully in a team environment, driving stakeholder relationships and executing on business strategy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
