About the Role

The Assistant Manager is an integral part of the Commercial Property & Health team and supports the Relationship Manager and Senior Credit Relationship Manager in managing and growing a portfolio of Commercial Property & Health customers. The role contributes to sustainable business growth through quality credit analysis, portfolio management, customer service excellence and sound risk management while delivering tailored banking solutions that meet customer needs and ANZ's risk appetite.

Work Hours: 40 Hours (Full-time)

What will your day look like?

• Deliver business growth through development of plans for new customer acquisitions.
• Support Relationship Managers in managing and growing Commercial Property and Health portfolios.
• Prepare high-quality credit submissions, annual reviews and approval requests.
• Undertake financial analysis, serviceability assessments and risk reviews.
• Analyse commercial property investment, development and construction transactions.
• Monitor security valuations, covenant compliance and emerging portfolio risks.
• Collaborate with Product Partners, Credit, Operations and Risk stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with ANZ credit policies, governance and risk frameworks.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Experience in business, commercial or corporate banking.
• Experience supporting commercial lending and credit assessment activities.
• Strong financial analysis and financial statement interpretation skills.
• Good understanding of commercial lending structures and security arrangements.
• Strong written communication skills, including preparation of credit submissions and customer correspondence.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Sound understanding of portfolio management and risk management principles.
• Experience in Commercial Property or Healthcare banking portfolios.
• Knowledge of commercial property valuation, development finance and investment lending.
• Demonstrated negotiation, relationship management and customer service skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline, or equivalent industry
  experience, desirable.
