This role operates with significant autonomy and influence, working across business domains and senior stakeholder groups to uplift governance maturity and drive clarity and consistency across the enterprise. What will your day look like?

As a Business SME, you are accountable for:

•    Supporting the strategic uplift and ongoing optimisation of the enterprise risk governance framework, ensuring it supports effective oversight, accountability, and decision-making.
•    Serving as a senior advisor to business units and risk functions, guiding interpretation, implementation, and application of risk governance requirements across the enterprise.
•    Shaping and oversee the production of governance insights, reporting and analysis for senior leadership, executive committees and board-level forums, ensuring high-quality, forward-looking content.
•    Driving alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practice, proactively identifying regulatory trends, risks and opportunities for uplift.
•    Influencing and enhancing governance processes and committee effectiveness, recommending and enabling improvements that uplift transparency, clarity and operational efficiency.
•    Leading enterprise-wide initiatives or workstreams related to governance and policy uplift, ensuring consistent execution and strong stakeholder engagement.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

•    Deep expertise in enterprise risk governance, risk frameworks and policy management, with the ability to advise senior executives on complex governance issues.
•    Proven track record in managing enterprise governance processes, supporting executive or board-level committees, and delivering high-impact insights.
•    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and influence at senior levels.
•    Strong stakeholder leadership capabilities, with experience navigating diverse and sometimes competing priorities across large organisations.
•    Excellent judgement, analytical capability and the ability to anticipate emerging issues and drive proactive solutions.
•    Prior experience presenting to or managing interactions with governance bodies, regulators or senior risk committees.
•    Strong grounding in risk management principles and practices.
