About the Role


As a Senior Operational Risk & Compliance Manager in our Pacific Risk team, you'll be a trusted advisor to the Pacific business, supporting stakeholders across multiple countries and functions to strengthen regulatory risk management, obligations management and governance practices.

What will your day look like?


As a Senior Operational Risk & Compliance Manager, you will be accountable for:

  • Be a “trusted advisor” to the Pacific business, including across countries, support functions, and lines of business, and is required to form and maintain strong working relationships with country Heads of Compliance, country Chief Risk Officers, the Pacific Business Governance and Controls Line 1B team, the Heads of Countries and Enablement Functions, and Group stakeholders;
  • Support and provide guidance to relevant Pacific stakeholders on implementation of, and adherence to, NFR framework requirements with a particular focus on regulatory risk management, obligations management, and business continuity/crisis management and provide training and guidance material in that regard where reasonable and appropriate to do so;
  • Play an active part in the coordination, execution, and delivery of important Group NFR initiatives, and ensuring that the Pacific is aware of the requirements in respect of those initiatives, that relevant participants in those initiatives are enabled to complete required tasks, and assist with the overall quality and completeness of the Pacific outputs of those initiatives;
  • Ensure the performance of ongoing review and challenge activities to provide insights to management as to the understanding of NFR framework requirements across the Pacific, the adherence to those frameworks, and on general NFR management matters.

 

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in non-financial risk, including regulatory risk management, compliance, or operational riskperational Risk & Compliance
  • Strong written and oral communications and the ability to influence and advise diverse stakeholder groups;
  • Proven ability to construct and execute complex review work
  • Ablity to use initiative, being proactive, and being persistent to understand and address issues;
  • Highly structured approach to delivery, and able to self-develop and execute work plans as a senior member of the team.
  • Ablity to manage priorities and conflicting issues on a professional manner;
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and remain delivery focused in a fast changing environment; and
  • Ablity to build strong, open, and collaborative working relationships across multiple locations.
